Eungam Information Library opened in 2009 and is a leading public library in Eunpyeong-gu. The original building has gone into reconstruction so it can be remade as living SOC—essential facilities for everyday life. The library is now operating temporarily on the second and third floors of a commercial building. The second floor has reading rooms and books for all ages, including original-language titles; the third floor has a culture-lecture room for reading discussions and cultural courses. A variety of cultural events are also held, designed with residents’ local and cultural character in mind, offering useful and varied cultural experiences.
