Ogeum Park is in Ogeum-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, sitting diagonally from Songpa Police Station in Garak-dong, near Ogeum Station on Subway Line 5. A hill about 200 meters above sea level was landscaped in an environmentally friendly way, offering a pleasant natural setting of trees, flowers, and lawn. A nature-learning area with some 30 species of wildflowers and 20 species of native shrubs has been created, so walkers can observe a variety of plants. Five plazas, nine walking-path courses, and a children’s playground, among other features, draw a steady stream of local residents. Sports facilities including an athletic field, tennis courts, a swimming pool, badminton courts, a gateball court, a fitness area, and an inline-hockey rink are used by residents and students for exercise and leisure.
