Visit details

Baekbeom Plaza sits midway up Namsan Park in Hoehyeon-dong, Jung-gu. A statue of Kim Gu, independent activist, educator, and politician, was dedicated on 23 August 1969 by the Kim Gu memorial association, on the former Joseon Shrine site, using a plaster bust from his lifetime sculpted by Kim Gyeong-seung and Min Bok-jin into a 10 m statue funded by donations. A lawn and the Namsan path lie in front. Statues of General Kim Yu-sin on horseback and Yi Si-yeong are also in the park.
