Seoul’s first public municipal library, opened in 1922, moved to the present reinforced-concrete building by architect Lee Hae-seong in 1964, and renamed Namsan Library in 1965. Listed as a Seoul Future Heritage in 2013. About 500,000 volumes in four subject rooms: humanities and social science, natural science, literature and Korean literature, and bibliotherapy and languages.
