Visit details

Maeheon Yun Bong-gil Memorial Hall honors Yun Bong-gil, who on 29 April 1932 threw a bomb at Japanese military and civilian leaders at a ceremony in Hongkou Park, Shanghai, and was executed in Japan on 19 December 1932. Built on 1 December 1988 with public donations in Citizens’ Forest, Yangjae-dong, Seocho-gu, it passed to the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs on 1 January 2016 and reopened in 2018 after exhibition modernization. A statue sits before the taegeukgi used at the 27 April 1932 Korean Patriotic Corps oath. Gallery 1 covers his life and belongings; Gallery 2 covers Shanghai, joining the corps, death, and remembrance, with AR/VR experience space.
