The National Folk Museum of Korea is a national museum of folk life history, with a main building in Gyeongbokgung and a Paju branch, holding about 4,000 traditional everyday objects. The main site includes a children’s museum. Permanent galleries cover a Korean’s day, year, and life, plus special and outdoor displays such as zodiac statues, jangseung, a millstone, and a 1970s–80s alley. Education, holiday events, and programs for foreigners are listed on the website. The children’s museum is free, reservation-only, once per person per day, in 30-minute groups of 50; hours and programs change by month.
