Samcheong Park, in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, was designated Urban Planning Park No. 1 in March 1940. It sits in the center of the city, with many galleries and distinctive restaurants nearby, and is popular as a walking course. The quiet paths have pleasant surroundings. Cherry blossoms fill the park in spring and autumn foliage is beautiful, so visitors come steadily. There are sijo stele for Jeong Mong-ju, a loyal subject of Goryeo, and his mother, and a mineral spring if you follow the valley up the walking path. A children’s forest experience area makes it a good visit with children. Inside the park a forest library and café sit together, so you can enjoy a leisurely book with coffee. Along the paths are a barefoot acupressure walk, exercise equipment, badminton and tennis courts, and a children’s playground and kiosk that offer convenience to park users.
