Visit details

Jeongdok Library opened in January 1977 on the former Gyeonggi High School site in Bukchon, Jongno-gu. It holds about 490,000 books and 16,300 non-book items; the attached Seoul Education History Hall holds about 12,000 education materials. Besides loans and reading rooms it runs monthly author talks, photo shows, reading clubs, puppet plays, concerts, and dance. Cherry blossoms around the library in spring; Samcheong-dong’s cherry festival is nearby in Samcheong Park.
