Visit details

Gui Arisu Purification Center shows the history of Korea’s water-treatment plants. Gui plants 1 and 2, which produced tap water from 1941 to 2002, were registered as national cultural heritage in 2007. An exhibition and tour explain Arisu, Seoul’s tap water. Age-grouped heritage programs run at 10:00 and 14:00 on weekdays via Seoul’s public reservation site or by phone: ages 6–7 learn how Hangang water becomes tap water; school groups study when tap water began and where school fountains come from; adults tour the old plants.
