Site of Hullyeonwon, which trained soldiers in martial arts and formations. Set up in 1392 (Taejo 1) as Hullyeongwan, moved here under Taejong with a hall (sacheong) for archery and military exams, renamed Hullyeonwon in 1466 (Sejo 12). Before the park and parking lot, a red-brick building used Korean pine from Baekdusan floated down the Yalu. Recovered timber was used for the information board. Opened 30 June 1997, with lawn, drinking fountain, mist fountain, office, restroom, and benches.
