Starfield Library occupies a total of 2,800 square meters (about 850 pyeong) on two levels at the center of COEX Mall. With the concept of a comfortable study whose 13-meter-high bookshelves’ soft lighting gently wrap the whole space, a variety of tables are provided and outlets are available for laptop work. The first floor in particular is arranged as an independent space where visitors can read at leisure while looking out over the sunken space of the first basement.

Starfield Library holds more than 70,000 volumes. Books in many fields—humanities, economics, hobbies, and practical titles—are available, along with a foreign-originals corner, a famous-persons’ study corner, and e-books that can be read on iPad. A magazine corner gathering some 600 titles, including overseas magazines, is a strength that sets Starfield Library apart from ordinary libraries.

A wide range of book-themed cultural events is also held, including author talk shows and poetry readings that bring writers and readers together, lectures inviting intellectuals and notable figures of the day, and book concerts with music.
