Story of King Sejong and Story of Chungmugong, run by Sejong Center, opened on Hangul Day 9 October 2009 and on Yi Sun-sin’s birthday 28 April 2010. Sejong’s 12 rooms cover the person, minbon thought, Hangul, science and art, military policy, and a Hangul gallery. Chungmugong’s six rooms cover Yi’s life, Joseon warships, seven years of naval war, Nanjung Ilgi, leadership, and a video hall. About 1.5 million visitors a year are cited.
