Seoul Anglican Cathedral is the cathedral of the Seoul diocese of the Anglican Church of Korea. Bishop Mark Trollope, the third bishop of the Korean mission, began construction to a design by Arthur Dixon. Original plans found in a British library in 1993 allowed completion in 1996. The building mixes Romanesque form with Korean traditional technique in a cruciform plan. Twelve stone columns inside stand for the apostles; a mosaic of Christ is on the apse; Bishop Trollope’s remains are marked by a bronze plate in the crypt. It is 200 m from Exit 3 of City Hall Station on Lines 1 and 2.
